Canada's First Premier TV Weatherman, Percy Saltzman Dies

Percy Saltzman died Tuesday at age 91. He 'billed himself as Canada's first TV weatherman and became famous for his trademark live TV chalk tossing' at the end of every CBC TV forecast. He is remembered by CTV & CBC as the pioneer of weathermen and TV's first true personality and will be fondly remembered by the generation of the 50's and 60's.
