New Canada Defense Minister Was A Registered Defense Contractor Lobbyist

Gordon O'Connor the new Conservative Defense Minister represented defense contractors such as Airbus Military, United Defense, General Dynamics Canada and BAE Systems as well as a variety of other, non-military clients as a registered defense contractor lobbyist before being elected. Duff Conacher of Democracy Watch says "It's a bad message to be sending," Another quote says "If you look at the list of companies he's represented, it's as long as your arm." Critics say they find it troubling. See the full CP report link here. With the long shopping list of military goodies the Conservatives have committed to buy on their defense spending spree, I guess at minimum one could say that O'Connor is very familiar with the goodies manufacturer's! Almost poetically kissing cousins! The argument for giving him the job I guess is he knows the business!
Shudder.....
