Vancouver Sun front page article describes an injured trucker’s 8 year war with Worksafe BC which was formerly known as the Worker’s Compensation Board or WCB. His family and Lawyer believe that he finally took his own life out of desperation due to the stress and uncertainty of his compensation claim. An investigation sounds much warranted in this very sad case. Since 1996 WCB has paid out for 18 suicide claims! If accurate, it should never have happened. And it should never happen again.
